AMHA Begins Search for New CEO



SHELBURNE, VT—The American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA), headquartered in Shelburne, VT, has begun its search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The right candidate will be responsible for working with the Board of Directors, owners, breeders, and trainers of Morgan horses as well as with the AMHA staff members.

The CEO will oversee the daily operation of the Association. AMHA has over 10,000 members, 17 employees and a multimillion dollar budget. Candidates should exhibit strong finance, leadership and communication skills essential to the role of CEO, and hold the ability to develop strong interpersonal, service-oriented relationships with members and other equine entities. Previous experience in association management preferred. Horse knowledge or experience in the equine market would also be beneficial.
