AMHA Announces Seminars for National Convention in Portland

We're now just slightly over three months before the 2013 AMHA Annual Convention and we're still planning the fun and excitement that will take place February 21-23 in Portland, Oregon, at The Benson Hotel.

Two new seminars have just been added to the already stellar lineup of speakers. Dr. Marvin Hausman will give a presentation on a new therapeutic strategy to control and prevent colic, laminitis, and tying-up. Physiologic problems in the horse are the result of domestication of a grazing animal plus modern dietary management and this newfound lifestyle of the domesticated horse has led to a mixed-up immune system with associated diseases. Dr. Hausman will discuss returning the horse's immune and metabolic system to their previous, more natural state. Dr. Hausman is the founder of Entia Biosciences, Inc., which designs and develops natural organic antioxidant food-based products used as nutritional supplements for animals and humans.

Teri LeVine and Adrienne Raymond will present the realities of creating and marketing your business's website. Discover what's important and how not to fear the new digital media marketing. Teri and Adrienne will walk you through cost, time commitment, and effectiveness of websites with social media and print advertising, and will provide you with tactics to take home and implement immediately. Both women have extensive experience in the world of business, marketing, and design and have teamed up to bring their expertise and extensive industry knowledge to their clients.

From cowboy dressage, western dressage, history, and extreme trail and mountain trail riding, this Convention will have something for everyone! Farm tours to world champion farm Illahee, the annual meeting and members, and honoring the breed's top supporters are just some of the special events planned for this annual gathering of Morgan friends.

To see the current convention schedule or to register, go to www.morganhorse.com/association/annual_convention/. Those who make their reservations by February 13, 2013 are eligible for the early bird drawing!
