American Saddlebred Museum Grand Re-Opening

On Saturday evening, May 21, the American Saddlebred Museum celebrated the Grand Opening of the Elisabeth M. Goth History Wing. American Saddlebred Museum supporters from across the country were in attendance to celebrate the historic opening. The evening started with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Mark Strong, the Museum’s Board of Trustees President and Keith Kurz, Capital Campaign Chair, gave remarks about the history of the project. They both thanked all of the donors who supported the project financially, as well as those people who assisted with photographs, film, and other content to make the history wing an exceptional educational experience for visitors.

Following the ribbon cutting, Rob Byers led a panel discussion related to the current exhibit CH My-My. Dr. Clark Cleveland, who cared for CH My-My, Bobby Joe Young, who was a groom for Mr. Bradshaw, Austin Waggoner, who also worked for Mr. Bradshaw, and David Mountjoy, who was close with the Bradshaw family, were the featured speakers. The panel offered many insights into CH My-My’s life and championships as well as tragic death of the mare. The CH My-My exhibit will be on view at the Museum until December 2022.
