AHHSF To Offer Three Scholarships in 2011

The American Hackney Horse Society Foundation will offer three educational scholarships in the amount of $2500 each. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, academic success and a commitment to the Hackney breed, whether past, present or future.
The Al Haugen Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to an incoming college freshman. The American Hackney Horse Society Foundation Scholarship is also awarded to an incoming college freshman. The third scholarship, the Ed Frickey Memorial Scholarship, is awarded to a returning college sophomore, junior or senior.
Presentation of the scholarships will be made at the World’s Championship Horse Show in August 2011. The application deadline is July 1, 2011 and applications can be received by contacting American Hackney Horse Society Foundation Scholarship Committee Chairman Alan R.
