AHHS Grand Event Weekend



The 18th Annual AHHS Limited Breeders Sweepstakes Stallion Service Auction will be one of the feature events of the AHHS Grand Event to be held March 7-8-9, 2014 in Shelbyville, Ky.  The weekend is non stop activities for the Hackney enthusiast.

The first annual AHHS Adult Driving Clinic starts the weekend's activities.  This three day event provides the beginning driver the opportunity to learn the basic driving skills, while more advanced drivers will be able to improve their driving skills. Driving sessions will be held on all three days of the clinic.  Other activities for the participants include farm tours, show ring apparel style show, and lunch at the famous Claudia Sanders Dinner House.  Additional information on the Driving Clinic can be obtained by contacting Mindy Preston ([email protected]) or 317-485-2953.  The clinic will be limited to 16 participants, in order to provide individual instruction for the participants.

The Old Stone Inn in Shelbyville will be the site of Friday evening activities.  The highlight of the evening will be an "Ask The Experts" sessions.  Don't miss this opportunity to ask questions to Hackney industry experts.

Saturday's activities kickoff at 8:30 a.m. with a consignment tack sale in the Shelby County Fairgrounds Floral Hall.  Individuals wanting to consign items need to contact AHHS LBS Chairman Tom Galbreath([email protected]) or 606.748.0424.

Saturday at 2:30 p.m. there will be a Show Pony & Stallion Preview in the Fairgrounds Bradley Barn,  Individuals wanting to showcase Breeding Stallions, Current or Future Show Ring Performers are provided that opportunity at the preview.  (Participants can sell their ponies will no commission fees.)  The cost of each entry is $50.00.  Individuals wanting more information and entry forms should contact Tom Lowry ([email protected]) or 502.664.5078.

The AHHS Annual Membership meeting will commence at 5:00 in the Floral Hall.  The Limited Breeders Sweepstakes Dinner and Stallion Auction will start at 6:30.  Stallion Donors are urged to return thier completed forms to the AHHS office as soon as possible.
