AHHS Elsa Mikkelsen Distinguished Service Award: Steve Kildow

The AHHS Else Mikkelsen Distinguished Service Award is awarded to a member of the American Hackney Horse Society who has contributed his or her energies to the promotion of the Hackney Horse or Pony.
Steve Kildow has been in the Hackney industry for many years. Steve takes great pride in the Hackneys he breeds, trains, sells and promotes. He is an avid supporter of the AHHS and its programs.
He serves on the USEF Hackney Committee and is the Hackney representative on the USEF National Breeds And Disciplines Advisory Council. Steve donates much of his time and energy to the AHHS Limited Breeders Sweepstakes Committee. As a member of the LBS committee, Steve plays a key role in planning the Grand Weekend that, in his words, is always raising the bar.
Steve’s love of the Hackney and his willingness to not only promote his own stock, but the Hackney breed as a whole is the reason why he is the recipient of the AHHS Elsa Mikkelsen Distinguished Service Award.
