New communications now available from the latest Affiliate Leadership Safe Sport conference call. The statement provides new Safe Sport information and resources. Please see below for the full update from USEF CEO Bill Moroney.

Safe Sport

Yesterday, we held a Safe Sport meeting with Affiliate leadership and the following question was raised and as promised, we are providing you with the answer.

Q - Are USEF Affiliates required to enforce the USEF Safe Sport Training requirement on persons participating in non-USEF licensed competitions which are associated in any manner with a USEF Affiliate?

A – USEF Affiliates are not required to enforce the USEF Safe Sport Training requirement on persons attending non-USEF licensed competitions which are associated in any manner with a USEF Affiliate.

However, USEF Affiliates are required to prohibit any person suspended or banned, including temporary suspensions, appearing on the Safe Sport Sanctions List from participating in any activities of the USEF Affiliate including participating at Affiliate associated competitions. The Safe Sport Sanctions List available at USEF website.

As discussed yesterday, here is the link that we encourage you to post to your website regarding USEF Safe Sport resources including the two videos featuring Sonja Keating. We strongly encourage you to push these two videos out to your members as they answer many of the questions people have about Safe Sport.
