Portrait of Dabora Founder

A portrait of David L. Howard, founder of Saddle Horse Report, was hung today at the Dabora offices in Shelbyville, Tenn., to honor his memory. Howard passed away unexpectedly in December of 2016.
“The Dabora family has been blessed to have so many wonderful employees, some that have been with us for almost all of our 46 years. We were delighted to share this moment with Linda Scrivner, Robert Carter, Elaine Stacy and Steve Morrow,” said Saddle Horse Report publisher Christy Howard Womack. “Bob Funkhouser and Diana Davidson have also been a part of our family for forty plus years, not to mention the rest of our talented team, many of whom have been with us for almost 20 years. Dad taught us all a lot about hard work, loyalty, love and discipline. I’m grateful to have this portrait by Jie Raun, who did such an excellent job of capturing his spirit on canvas.
