2021 Town Hall Meeting Announced

The American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) has announced a virtual Town Hall Meeting to be held via Zoom on Wednesday, January 27 at 5:00 p.m. ET. The purpose of the Town Hall is to present details and answer questions for members prior to the ASHA membership vote on the merger between the Registry (American Saddlebred Registry, Inc.) and ASHA. The resulting organization, American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association, Inc., will streamline the resources of the finances, operations, staff, and volunteers in the advancement of what always has been a single mission – the promotion and protection of our beloved breed.

One of the principal benefits of the merger is that fundraising through a single 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity will improve collective efforts. The merger has the unanimous support of both organizations’ boards of directors, all active committee participants, and broad support among breeders. The merger also will protect certain funds currently on hand at the Registry to be dedicated solely for registry purposes.

More information on the vote is being mailed to eligible voting members and will continue to be communicated prior to the 2021 virtual annual membership meeting. Additional materials regarding the merger will posted to the member section of www.asha.net before the meeting. More information about the Town Hall meeting will be available soon.
