American Royal Tragedy

Following a great Wednesday night of showing at the UPHA/American Royal, a tragic incident occurred during the Thursday afternoon session. Just as the multi-titled World’s Champion Of Champions CH The Attaché Orchid had made her victory pass in the Three-Gaited Pony qualifier with Hunter Chancellor and was exiting the gate she suffered a fatal seizure of some sort and fell to the ground.
Horsemen, veterinarians and show officials were immediately on the situation and did all that was possible to make the grand mare’s last moments comfortable and dignified.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Chancellor and DeLovely families for their unexpected loss.
