Rock Creek Horse Show Kick-Off Party

The Rock Creek Horse Show Kick-Off Party is set for Thursday February 18, 2010 in the historic Henry Clay Building, 604 South Third Street, Louisville, Kentucky. Beginning at 5:30 and continuing on until 8:30, everyone is invited to attend this fabulous event, sponsored by The Silver Spoon. In addition to dinner from Rock Creek’s friends, Kathy Hensley and Phillip Koenig of The Silver Spoon, the gathering will feature an open bar as well as silent auction items.

Tickets are $25 per person or $200 for a table of 10. For additional information, please contact Gail Kline at MarthaGail@aol.com or (502) 722-8129.

The live auction is where the night will really hit its stride, as it features some truly amazing items. Swanson and Jampsa LLC has donated a stallion service fee to the number one World’s Champion sire, Undulata’s Nutcracker. Kaye Bowles-Durnell has provided a week in paradise at her palatial Mexican villa. From Kelly and David Mount of Habitation, a Kentucky Derby package will be up for bid. This includes a complete box with six seats and a VIP parking pass. Also courtesy of the Mounts is a $10,000 Habitation Shopping Spree! This will entitle the winning bidder to a $10,000 extravaganza to Louisville’s premier furniture store. Located at The Summit, Habitation offers transitional to modern furniture, upholstery, mattresses and accessories from lines such as American Leather, Gus Modern and Copeland Furniture. Do not miss out on this unbelievable offer!

Also in the live auction is a Maker’s Mark Distillery VIP Lunch/Tour, donated by Maker’s Mark. This Maker’s Mark Master Distillery Experience for Two includes lunch and a VIP Tour with Marker’s Mark President Bill Samuels (this item was listed in the Nieman-Marcus gift catalog with a value of $7500). Bill Knight has donated an aerial tour of Shelby County horse country. Bill himself will be the pilot and tour guide for the winning bidder! Hoppy Bennett has donated an Undulata Farm weekend that includes special dinners, rides and additional amenities, while Wayne and Robin Rogers-Daub have provided a week at a Key West condo, overlooking a National Preserve salt pond and nestled across from Smathers Beach.

World’s Championship Horse Show manager Scarlett Mattson has provided a Kentucky State Fair Horse Show package, including two box seats and VIP Parking for the Kentucky State Fair World’s Championship Horse Show. Kathy Capsuto-Walker and Paula Schmidt put together a very exciting live auction item as well, a drive with World’s Champion The DaVinci Code, one of the most talked about horses in the country.
