Jubilee Competition Set to Sizzle

Plans for this year’s Jubilee Regional Morgan Horse Show are really heating up as entries continue to climb and anticipation builds for the show that is set to begin August 29th in Springfield, Illinois. There are so many positive aspects of the show including the beautiful show grounds, ever-increasing competition, and the list of officials that represent the best in the business. Rodney Hicks and Cindy Mugnier will headline as the show’s main judges, Howie Schatzberg will photograph and Peter Fenton will call the victors to the winner’s circle.

“2007 will be Fred Nava’s second year to manage the show, and we are already seeing the dividends to his addition. We will have many new show barns in attendance this year to compete in the UPHA Classics Championships, the Jubilee Futurity and the Morgan Breeders Sweepstakes. It is by far looking to be the most competitive Jubilee in recent years.” says Jubilee President, Mark Bodnar. “We promise that each evening session will hold some very special moments.”

Thursday evening the new UPHA Morgan Classics Grand Champions will be crowned in the Pleasure Driving, Hunter Pleasure and Park Harness divisions. Friday night the wildly exciting Breeders Sweepstakes for the weanlings will be back in town, and the winner will take home $25,000. The Street Party will end the night with great food and a lot of dancing in the street. The show will conclude Saturday evening with the $4,000 Classic Pleasure Driving Championship and the induction of Orwin and Norine Osman and Medomak King Cobra into the Jubilee Hall of Fame.

The show hosts a full compliment of classes ranging from dressage to park saddle and almost every division in between. Classes begin at 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM Wednesday through Saturday and everyone is encouraged to cheer on all of the beautiful Morgan horses competing at this year’s 42nd Annual Jubilee Regional Morgan Horse Show.
