Fourth Annual UPHA Classics Incentive Yearling Sale Set for Kansas City

The United Professional Horsemen’s Association and the Board of the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show are excited to announce that the 2007 UPHA Classics Incentive Saddlebred Yearling sale will be held in Kansas City during the 2007 Horse Show.

The sale will be held on Friday, November 16th, 2007, in Hale Arena, starting at 9:00 a.m.  Saddlebred yearlings sold through the 2007 sale will be eligible for added prize money when they compete in the 2009 UPHA Classic Grand Championships.

This will be the fourth consecutive year for UPHA’s Yearling Sale to be held during the UPHA American Royal National Championship.  Previous sales have been highly successful, with yearlings bringing top dollar, some in six figures.

The 32 yearlings that are consigned the sale will be exposed to a large audience of potential buyers and will be showcased in a horse show-type atmosphere.  Buyers will be attending the National Championship from all over the country, and will have an opportunity to be one of the “lucky ones” to come away from Kansas City with a new future star.  As the UPHA American Royal National Championship Horse Show has been the home of the UPHA Classic Grand Championships for many years, it seemed only fitting that these young horses start their Classics career at the show where they might ultimately be awarded a large purse of Incentive Sale prize money.

Approximately $28,000 will be paid out this year to three-year-olds that were purchased through the 2005 sale. Already such world’s champions as Curtis Lowe, Marching Orders and Coco Royale have been purchased through the sale.

For more information on the UPHA Classics Incentive Yearling sale, please contact Sale Chairman John T. Jones at (513) 226-8155 or the UPHA Office at (859) 231-5070, Email UPHAKGR@aol.com.  The catalog, with a complete list and pedigrees of the consigned yearlings, is posted on the UPHA’s web site, www.UPHAOnline.com.
