Phyllis Traylor Harris, 77, Lexington, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. Born in Georgetown, KY, she was the daughter of Edgar “Buddy” and Alma Hughes Traylor.
She was a horse trainer, focusing mostly on American Saddlebreds. She was full of energy, strength and determination. She touched people’s lives all over the country and was deeply loved by everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Debbie) Forrester and Rodney Harris; brother, James Randy Traylor; three grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be 5-8 PM Friday, April 28, 2017 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Saddlebred Rescue Inc, or Bluegrass Navigators (formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass). www.johnsonsfuneralhome.com
