UPHA Seeking Executive Assistant



The United Professional Horsemen’s Association (UPHA) is currently seeking to hire an Executive Assistant to the President. The UPHA is a non-profit organization, located on the grounds of the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.

The Executive Assistant will report to and work closely with the UPHA President and the UPHA Executive Board of Directors to advance the UPHA’s vision and the Foundation’s mission. The position will be responsible for the daily administration and management of all office duties, UPHA Programs and UPHA Membership Database, as well as implement the strategic goals and objectives of the UPHA, develop and strengthen programs that will advance the industry, and to educate, encourage, promote and advance participation in equestrian activities.

Duties and responsibilities include overseeing UPHA programs, membership database, technology, website management, communications, media releases, accounts receivable/payable, record keeping, recording of meeting minutes, and assist with Education, Promotion, Marketing, coordination and planning of the UPHA Annual Convention, Board meetings and National special events. They must also develop and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with all UPHA members.

A college degree with significant work and business experience in a managerial role, along with a strong equine background, people, communication, organizational and self-motivational skills required. Quick Books, MS Office, In Design, Excel, promotional, accounting and marketing skills are preferred. Must be willing to relocate to Lexington, KY, for a full-time position. Travel is periodically required.
