10th Annual Brunch to Benefit Saddlebred Rescue

Save the date of August 25, 2016 to attend the 10th Annual Brunch to Benefit Saddlebred Rescue at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville, Ky. This year’s event promises to be a great one. Tuffy Owens will emcee the brunch and auction beginning at 11. On the day prior, Wednesday the 24th, the auction will be set up where horse enthusiasts can stop by to see what is at the auction before the event. This year there will be a live auction component in addition to the silent auction for a limited group of items. The goal is to raise one third of the annual operating expenses through donations, auction proceeds and event sponsorships. Platinum ($2500) and Gold ($1000) level sponsors will be recognized with a banner at the event and on social media. Platinum sponsors will also receive tickets for a table for ten at the event and inclusion in the print media at the Brunch.

The event committee this year is Judy Lowry (Illinois), Chair; Kathy Weems (Wisconsin), Cindy Chesler (South Carolina/Kentucky), Pat Johnson (New Jersey) and many other volunteers. For more information, contact them on Facebook. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase as of July 15 on the website at www.saddlebredrescue.com or by contacting [email protected] or Judy Lowry at [email protected].

Congratulations to Saddlebred Rescue on their 10th Anniversary. Thanks to Christy Parker and others that started the rescue back in 2006, Saddlebred Rescue has been able to save and work with over 1000 horses. As a 501(c)(3) organization, they are also committed to education. Over the years they have participated in Breyerfest, Kentucky Round Up Horse Expo, promoted to fairgoers at the World’s Championship Horse Show, and more recently held Horse Care Clinics. They are truly committed to the welfare of every horse.
