Candids of the Week




Brenda Varney modeled the winning loot from Mastroianni’s World Champion Senior Gelding and World Champion Gelding performances. The Taylor River Farm entry made history by being the only horse to win a World Champion Stallion (four to be exact) and World Champion Gelding title.


Tim Roesink presented Treble’s She’s Mizbehavin to the World Champion Mare title for Mountain Hawk Farm Ltd.


Presented by Tim Roesink, Dragonsmeade Icon was the crowned the World Champion Stallion for owners/breeders, the Fu family. Icon was the third of the three In Hand World Champions to be sired by Mizrahi.


David Rand had a great Sunday morning at Oklahoma, including winning the Four-Year-Old English Pleasure Mare class with Angela Conner Bulmer’s VL Zaia.



Molly Remondino won Sunday evening’s Classic Pleasure Driving Four-Year-Old class with Dragonsmeade Cloissone and then had to do a quick change to show Ella Enchanted in the very next class, the 10-entry Grand National Amateur Park Saddle.


Whitney Bodnar and Leonardo’s Cry CH brought Oklahoma’s Monday evening performance to a close with a unanimous win in the Park Harness Stallion class for Serena Brown, Sasha Klein and Bob Klein. It was another night of great performances at the Grand National and World Championship Morgan Horse Show.


From Lowry Stables, Abby Mutrux and Playmor’s I’m A Star Too topped the Youth Park Saddle World Championship for Barry Laub. Their win was part of an action-packed morning in the Performance Arena at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show.


Emma Pedersen was crowned the AMHA Western Seat Gold Medal Finals National Champion. The multi-titled rider was joined by her instructor Nicole Johnson and mom Lisa Pedersen.


After being a Morgan owner for many years, Julie Ouska (second from left) showed at the Grand National for the first time winning the Classic Pleasure Driving Mares with GLB Amazing Grace. The River’s Edge team of Bob Kellert, Mary Cockriel and Kate Vieyra joined the Tuesday night winner for the celebration picture.


Allyson Wandke had a great night at the Grand National, including winning the Ladies Park Saddle Mare class with the crowd-pleasing Get Smart. They are trained by Dwayne Knowles (pictured) and Mike Goebig at Broadmoor.


Ada Johnson was named the AMHA Saddle Seat Gold Medal Finals National Champion Wednesday night at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show. Paired with King Lehr's Friar Tuck, the team is under the direction of Arcola Farm. 


Helen Rich (center) and CBMF Victory Pass won the Morgan World Champion Park Harness Amateur Masters under the guidance of trainers Rich and Maureen Campbell.


Phil and Peggy Alderman shared Oklahoma victory passes with Graycliff Tony Hawk. On Friday night Peggy drove the son of World Champion Graycliff Tony to the Park Harness World Championship, her first.


Cameron Kay claimed the title of Saddle Seat Senior Equitation World Champion Saturday afternoon after unanimously winning the UPHA Morgan Senior Challenge Cup Finals Friday afternoon at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show.


What a week for As Predicted GCH, owner Deborah Hamilton and trainer Nikki Rae Woodworth. Hamilton won the qualifier and World Champion Amateur Masters Park Saddle titles and then Woodworth came back Saturday night to close out the Grand National & World Championship Horse Show with a victory pass in the Park Saddle World Championship.
