Connecticut Morgan Open Horse Show Sweetens The Pot for 2015 In Hand Champions

The Connecticut Morgan Open Horse Show (CMOHS) is pleased to announce a new incentive program for breeders and trainers of Morgan In Hand Show Horses — a $1,000 added bonus to the Grand Champion Stallion, Mare and Gelding classes.
 
CMOHS would like to thank the generous sponsors of this exciting new venture — the Fu Family of Dragonsmeade Farm — sponsor of the Grand Champion Stallion bonus; Rob and Roxanne Sardelli-Greenway of Sarde Morgans — sponsors of the Grand Champion Mare bonus; and Dan and Leslie Kelley of Victory Lane Farms — sponsors of the Grand Champion Gelding bonus. This bonus will be awarded 50% to the winning owner and 50% to the winning trainer, and will be given out in addition to the traditional awards, trophies, and prize money offered in this division.
 
Another big change to the horse show for 2015 — as our new name implies — are classes for the American Saddlebred, Hackney Ponies, and Friesians as well as a carriage and english and western dressage division open to all breeds. We will also feature three Scholarship Jackpot classes for junior exhibitors and three $500 Winner-Take-All Pleasure Jackpots.
 
The Connecticut Morgan Open Horse Show will be held June 3-6 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, MA. The show grounds feature permanent stabling, a covered warm up ring, 24-hour security, and an iconic inn on the premises.
 
Show officials have invited Lisa Cunningham-Waller and Jennifer Sommers to officiate in the main ring, and Howard Schatzberg will be on hand to capture all of the winning moments during the horse show. Nightly parties, a host of youth activities, and lots of fun are on the schedule as well.
