American Saddlebreds Presented at Recent Harness Horse Festival

The American Saddlebred was well represented at the recent Harness Horse Festival, sponsored by the American Dutch Harness Horse Association, held at the Kentucky Horse Park Alltech Arena on March 13-14, 2015.  The American Saddlebred Registry and American Saddlebred Horse Association booth had several visitors that were anxious to hear about the Registry’s Sport Horse Programs and the Half Saddlebred Registry.  Educational brochures about American Saddlebreds were available along with videos that were played non-stop at the booth.

The highlight for our American Saddlebreds was the breed demonstration on Friday that included the Combined Driving Champion, Varoom owned by the Briney Family’s Pratense Farm and presented by Carrie Ostrowski;  Call Me For A Date was presented under saddle by Alex Rudder and is owned by Wingswept Farm LLC; and Callaway’s Remember The Time was presented in harness by Ockert Sieberhagen and is owned by Ricky D. Cook LLC.  Dylann’s Desert Admiral and Just Browsing put on a five-gaited exhibition for the crowd.  Dylann’s Desert Admiral is owned and was presented by Melinda Moore, and Just Browsing was presented by Chris Brannan and is owned by Ricky Cook and Bruce Williams.

The American Saddlebred Registry and the American Saddlebred Horse Association are grateful to the generous sponsors, volunteers, riders, drivers, trainers, and owners that made the breed demonstration possible.  We realize the time and effort that is involved, and we are most appreciative.
