Runway And Rescue Fashion Show Coming

On Saturday March 14, 2015, Rodes For Him & For Her will be producing an eye-popping runway show featuring the trendiest and most eye-catching men’s and women’s fashions.  The event will benefit both the American Saddlebred Museum and Saddlebred Rescue.

Rodes is a 100 year old family-owned apparel business in Louisville, KY with ties to the Saddlebred world. The store is now being run by the 4th generation of that family. Officially called Rodes For Him & For Her, the store continues to offer designer collections to create head to toe ensembles for both men and women. Rodes is home to such noted lines as Escada, Armani, Etro, St. John, Marc Cain, Basler, Lafayette 148, Tory Burch, Vince, Joie and Paige; and for men Zegna, Canali, Agave, Hudson and many more. The fashion show will spotlight curated looks from Rodes’ designer, custom, collections and contemporary lines. In addition, Lourdes Chavez and Algo of Switzerland fine custom clothiers; Emy Mack Shoes and Christine Moore Hats; and Clara Williams Jewelers will provide their fashion guidance.

The ever-gracious and entertaining Carson Kressley, will lend his talent and expertise as emcee for the evening and The Silver Spoon will cater the event which will begin at 6:00 pm with a cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres followed by the fashion show at 7:00, then heavy hors d’oeuvres and shopping after the show. Fine wines will be supplied courtesy of Nic de Wet through Republic National Distributing at the Open Bar.

Many of your Saddlebred friends will be walking the runway for this event! Some of the models you will see are Steve Wheeler, A. J. Bruwer, Gerhardt Roos, Lionel Ferreira, Matthew Williams, Don Harris, Patrice O’Brien, Melissa Moore, Cindy Carcione, Terri Kearney and more.  You won’t want to miss the fun and the action as these folks become high fashion models!

Rodes will generously donate 20% of all sales that evening to the two charitable organizations. Additionally, attendees to the event can shop at Rodes store (located at 4938 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY) the rest of the month of March as well as during the Rock Creek Horse Show, and Rodes will donate 10% of all sales during those timeframes.

Runway and Rescue will be held at the Frazier History Museum located at 829 West Main Street in downtown Louisville, KY. It will begin at 6:00 pm and shopping will be available until 9:30 pm. Bring your friends to a fun and entertaining event and help two great charities! Only 250 tickets are available, so purchase yours early!
