Sport Horse Results Due

All American Saddlebred and Half-Saddlebred owners in the sport horse disciplines are encouraged to submit their 2014 results as soon as possible in order to be eligible for 2014 ASHA High Point Awards. The program year runs from December 1 to November 30, but it would be extremely helpful if all results to date can be submitted now. If your horse is competing in November, you may submit those results separately. If your horse is enrolled in the Sport Horse Year End or Incentive programs, please submit results now for those programs as well.

Results should be submitted for the following disciplines: Dressage, Western Dressage, Cowboy Dressage, Combined Driving, Eventing, Distance Riding, Hunter Over Fences, Jumpers.

The ASHA High Point Awards Program recognizes competition achievement by registered Saddlebreds and Half-Saddlebreds in a wide range of categories and disciplines, at all levels. The two highest placing horses owned and shown by active ASHA members in each category are named national High Point champion and reserve champion. The program also awards High Point winners in ten regions and Europe. The specific categories recognized in each region vary depending on regional availability and participation.

There is no enrollment required for the High Point program. Every horse that has competition results entered into the ASHA database (or submitted separately to the ASHA) is automatically eligible for consideration as long as its owner and rider/driver/handler are active ASHA members. For the High Point Awards program, competitions do not have to be rated; even schooling shows can be included. Complete program rules are posted here.

Please send sport horse results to Susan Harris at [email protected].  Questions about the ASHA High Point Awards Program may be directed to Susan Harris at [email protected] or 864-293-2741.
