As we approach the end of 2012, which is the American Saddlebred Museum's 50th anniversary year, the Museum hopes to reach its goal of raising $15,000 to create a new permanent interactive exhibit that will feature a touch screen that tells the stories of people and horses that have been influential in the industry. If you haven't already made a donation for the Museum’s special exhibit and would like to, please click on the following link http://www.asbmuseum.org/cdp-annual-campaign.php and enter “Special Exhibit” in the Comment/Instruction Box.
The Museum gratefully acknowledges the recent donation of $1,000 from the All American Cup (Jim Aikman), representing proceeds realized from the sale of DVD’s on the life of Supreme Sultan. Every buyer of these treasured DVDs also had their names placed in a drawing for a custom-finished piece of oak from the original door from Supreme Sultan's stall; special thanks to Bob Ruxer, who had the oak piece finished and a brass plate with Sultan's name applied. The drawing was held during the All American Horse Classic in September; Bob Ruxer drew out the winning name of Karen Koehler of Louisville, Ky. as the recipient of this once-in-a-lifetime collectors’ item.
