Scripps Miramar Ranch Showcased Saddlebreds in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee
Friday, May 18, 2012
Michele Macfarlane and her Scripps Miramar Ranch represented America in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with their pinto American Saddlebred Horses.

Michele and her team of horses including CHLike Thunder, So Extreme, Flurry, Anna Pavlova, and Sea Of Cortez performed in the Diamond Jubilee Pageant during the Royal Windsor Horse Show from Thursday, May 10th through Sunday, May 13th. They depicted their cowboy theme along with their authentic mid-1800s American stagecoach. The pageant consisted of seven acts drawing displays from different areas of the globe. Visitors were treated to a spectacular journey around the world, reflecting The Queen's State and Commonwealth visits during the course of Her Reign. In total, over 550 horses and more than 1,000 dancers, musicians, and performers from around the world came together each night in a performance to pay tribute to the Queen's 60-year reign. On the final evening, the Scripps Saddlebreds were included in the special finale performance in front of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Special artists and narrators joined the regular performers, and music artists included Susan Boyle and Joss Stone.

Misdee Miller, a fellow Saddlebred enthusiast, also performed for The Queen, while showing her pair of Hackney Ponies at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Competing against some of the best drivers in the world, she placed second in one of the divisions.
