Junior Exhibitor English Pleasure
The competition was as tight as it gets in the Junior Exhibitor English Pleasure division with only ONE point separating our champion and reserve champion. Cabot French Pepper and Alyssa Wick edged out the competition to earn 140 points. They earned victories at Gold Cup and Jubilee along with two sensational wins at Oklahoma. Together they were named Junior Exhibitor 13 and Under English Pleasure World Champions and Junior Exhibitor 12-13 English Pleasure Grand National Champions. Ultra’s Proclamation and Adriana Liberty showed eight times in 2004 to come within one point of our champions. They won the Junior Exhibitor 14 and 15 English Pleasure Grand National Championship and were third in the world championship. They also picked up wins at Southern States and reserves at Mass Morgan, Vermont Spring, and New England Regional.
Toreva Calland directed Kingsgrove Copyright to the third place points finish with 134 points earned in nine performances. Highlights of their show season include wins at Circle J and Morgan Medallion.
Fourth place in the points race goes to Hylee’s Dann Osgood and Kristi Evans. This busy team showed 12 times in 2004 to earn 128 points. Wins at Mass Morgan, Eastern States, Octoberfest, Connecticut Morgan and Vermont Spring capped off their fantastic season.
Hollybrook Spit N Image and SpringMill Independence tied for the fifth place finish with 126 points each. Hollybrook Spit N Image and Katie Goodpaster claimed wins at North Star, FASH Spring and Gold Cup as well as earning third and fifth place finishes at Oklahoma to earn their points. SpringMill Independence’s points came from wins at Connecticut, Vermont Spring and New England with Jenna Britt directing for the Britt family. Rounding out the top ten High Point Report champions are Outrageous Courageous and Stacia Klein, Bandelaro and Emily Orthwein, Merriehill Hooligan and Christin Ramsey, Versace and Sarah Lee, Boxford’s Tia Maria and Blanche Bauer, and Treble’s Fleetwood Max and Jessica Rusnock.
Junior Exhibitor Pleasure Driving
Mirabel’s Dartanyan topped the pleasure driving division for our junior exhibitors by showing nine times in 2004, three more than the nearest competitor. Alyssa Wick directed Dartanyan to the winner's circle at North Star, Gold Cup, and Morgan Masterpiece as well as earning two reserve titles at Oklahoma including Junior Exhibitor 13 and Under Pleasure Driving Reserve World Champion.
Aristocraticallee and Zachary Howa were pushing the winners hard earning a perfect six blue ribbons in six performances in 2004. Wins at Far West, Morgan Medallion and Oklahoma made for an impressive resume for the Junior Exhibitor 14-17 Pleasure Driving World Champions. And 140 points made for a new High Point Report Reserve Champion title.
KHF Bleeding Heart and Christopher Rushton ended up in the third spot in the points standings with 128 points earned in seven performances. Highlights of their season include top five finishes in Oklahoma as well as exciting reserves at Far West and New England Regional.
Fourth place goes to Oak Creek Chief of Staff and Jennifer Kellert who earned 122 points with wins at Circle J and New England and a reserve Grand National championship.
HVK Primary Light and Carl Johnson finished in fifth with 120 points. The 13 and Under Junior Exhibitor Pleasure Driving World Champions also won a Grand National title and classes at Raleigh Spring, Southern States, and Delmarva.
The rest of the outstanding group of pleasure driving teams are Burkland Rafinesque and Ben Warner, Paparazzi and Stephanie Marcelonis, KHF Nikko Blue and Danielle Cota, Ryan’s Got The Beat and Rachel Miller, and Absolut Appeal and Madison Wiles-Haffner.
Junior Exhibitor Hunter Pleasure
Only one point separated our champions in the Junior Exhibitor Hunter Pleasure division. Festival Arabesque edged out the competition to be named High Point Report Champion with Rachel Miller showing 10 times in 2004 to earn 157 points. In addition to earning a reserve Grand National title, this talented team won classes from coast to coast including Morgan Classic Royale and New England Regional.
Both champions hail from California as Talk of the Town LPS and Lauren Gorfinkle were pushing our champions hard coming within one point with 11 performances in their first season together. Wins at Far West and Morgan Medallion, reserves at Morgan Classic Royale and Diamond Jubilee, and two fourth place finishes at Oklahoma added up to one fantastic season.
Talamar Enstarment and Allison Smallridge racked up 152 points in their 11 performances, only five points behind the High Point Report Champion to continue the west coast dominance. Highlights of their season include wins at Morgan Classic Royale, Santa Cruz, Diamond Jubilee and Morgan Medallion.
Fourth place goes to Indian Creek Final Touch, ridden by Sasha Klein. This popular team captured wins at Southern States and Mid A in their first season together as well as reserves at New England Regional and Oklahoma to make for a fantastic season for them! I’m Irish and Brittany Morris finished up in fifth place with 130 points earned in eight performances. Wins at Tampa Charity, Citrus Cup and Southern States plus a reserve Grand National title helped them make the grade for the Top Ten High Point Report.
Also deserving honorable mention are FMF Wild Heiress and Kati Anderson, FZM Hale Bopp and Erica Santa, Cabot Courage Command and Allie Rowbottom, Chintimini Cabaret and Alexandra Mooney, and VVM Simply Elegant and Jillian Zick.
Junior Exhibitor Western Pleasure
Another very close race - Evil Knieval edged out Truly Divine - by one point - to be named High Point Report Champion in the western pleasure division. Each showing seven times, Evil Knieval and Hollie Luedtke earned five wins and two reserves to earn 135 points. The Junior Exhibitor 13 and Under Western Pleasure Reserve World Champions won the Junior Exhibitor 11 and Under Grand National title as well as winning classes at Diamond Jubilee and Far West Regional.
Truly Divine and Kati Anderson collected wins at Wheat State and Circle J, both regionals, as well as reserves at Morgan Medallion to earn their 134 points and the Reserve High Point Report championship.
Third place honors go to Mtn Laurel Election Day and Caitlin Harrison. Also showing seven times, they earned 132 points, just three points behind the champion with wins at Dixie Cup and Southern States and a reserve performance at Grand National. DFM Poetic Justice earned 124 points in nine performances to finish in the fourth place slot. Jenna Britt rode DFM Poetic Justice to wins at New England, Vermont Spring and Connecticut Morgan not to mention reserve and fourth place finishes at Oklahoma. Fifth place goes to KN French Commandante and Sarah Lee. The Junior Exhibitor 14 and 15 Western Pleasure Grand National Champions also posted a third place finish in the world championship and strong showings at Morgan Classic Royale and Morgan Medallion to earn their fifth place berth.
Rounding out the top ten western pleasure junior exhibitor champions are Rustic V's Crusader and Nicole Meyer, Mirabel’s Loyal Romeo and Stephanie Strasser, Clearly Crystal and Alyssa Rumsey, Sandlyn’s Connemara and Erika Mitchell, Kern’s Endeavor and Kali Erin Hutchinson, QVM Collector’s Edition and Natalie Nelsen, Kane Creek Kryptonite and Ellen McQuade, and Stormin Ta Glide and Logan Mather.
Junior Exhibitor Classic Pleasure
Scandia’s Mark of Destiny bested the field of Junior Exhibitor Classic Pleasure entries by earning 118 points in six performances to be the High Point Report champion. Caitlin Novotny directed the near perfect season with five blue ribbons out of six shows including the Grand National Classic Pleasure Saddle 14 and 15 Year Old class. Other wins for the talented team were at Circle J Regional, Wheat State Regional and Oklahoma Centennial.
Med-E-Oka French Morocco and Kelsey Ramsey showed eight times to earn 116 points, only two points behind the champions. This talented team picked up wins at Granite State and Mass Morgan in addition to a reserve in the Junior Exhibitor 13 and Under Classic Pleasure World Championship.
Third place in the points goes to Dreammaster Irish Emperor and Eric Antman. The Junior Exhibitor 14-17 Classic Pleasure World Champions also won classes at Del Mar and Morgan Medallion to earn their 106 points.
VVM Litigator finished in the points race at fourth with 103 points. Eric Kessler directed in three of six performances including a win at Diamond Jubilee. Beau Rash handled the other three performances including second and third place finishes at the Grand National.
Bery Banke Toot Toot and Tyler Hufferd only showed four times, but they made each one count, picking up four blue ribbons in four performances! The World Champions and Grand National Champions in the 13 and under ranks also won both of their classes at New England for an exceptional season.
Rounding out the top ten field are Fateful Heart and Jane Mitchell, Coalition X Static and Megan Place, Desiderata Tosca and Kimberly Forster, Ultra’s Knight of Request and Christine Fowler, and Irish O'Ryan and Emily Buchanan.
Junior Exhibitor Classic Pleasure Driving
Hermitage Avatar and Steven Handy are our High Point Report champions in the junior exhibitor classic pleasure driving division. These reserve Grand National champions won two classes at New England Regional and one at Connecticut to earn 122 points and top the High Point Report.
J.T. Brannon directed HVK Top Drawer to the reserve finish with 113 points earned in only five performances including a Grand National win in the 13 and Under division and a reserve world championship. This talented team also won a class at Citrus Cup and two reserves at Gold Cup.
Third place goes to Southbrook Ultimatum and Jill Chiecko, who captured wins this season at Connecticut and Mass Morgan to finish the season with three blues, two reserves, a fourth at New England and a pair of top ten finishes at Grand National.
Merriehill Stonewall Will and Tyler Hufferd only showed four times, but they earned 97 points with three wins and a reserve including the Junior Exhibitor Classic Pleasure Driving World Championship. This was enough to put them in the fourth place finish of the points race.
Caitlin Harrison directed Manhattan Design to the Grand National title for drivers 14-17 as well as a third place in the world championship to earn 86 points and fifth place in the final standings.
Also deserving honorable mention are Anapolis and Megan Dunkle, UVM Uptown and Hanna Welch, Ultra’s Knight of Request and Christine Fowler, Almost An Angel and Malia Meyer, and Bulgari and Brooke Yule.
Saddle Seat Equitation 17 and Under
Our Saddle Seat Equitation High Point Report Champion cleaned up this season with eight blue ribbons in 12 performances. In addition to winning the Grand National title for 16 and 17 year olds, Morgan Glenn won classes at MJMHA Morgan Showtime, New England Regional, and Gold Cup Regional. She also earned a top ten finish in the AMHA Saddle Seat Gold Medal Finals and the World Championship.
Kara Brooke Hose was reserve in the AMHA Saddle Seat Gold Medal Finals in addition to winning classes at Southern States and Mid A Morgan to earn 197 points in 11 performances. This was enough to secure her a reserve finish in the points race. Third place in the points goes to Tiffani Earehart who earned 166 points in 13 performances. Wins at Jubilee and Michigan All Morgan highlighted their outstanding season.
Jamie Kalalas and Brooke Gove tied for fourth place, each earning 155 points. Two wins at Vermont and winning the AMHA Saddle Seat Medal at New England Regional highlighted Jamie Kalalas’ season. Brooke Gove showed 10 times to earn three wins at Connecticut and four reserves including a reserve Grand National title.
Fifth place in the points goes to Ariana Corrigan who won classes at Diamond Jubilee and Del Mar before heading to Oklahoma to win the 14 and 15 Year Old Grand National title along with reserve honors in the Senior Saddle Seat Equitation World Championship and the UPHA Senior Challenge Cup.
Rounding out the top ten equitation riders are Katie Goodpaster, Ashley Dragan, Sarah Taylor, Catherine Hendrickson and Tommy Brisco.
Saddle Seat Equitation 13 and Under
Sarah Shimmer ran away with the High Point Report for the younger equitation riders. She earned 226 points, almost 75 more than the nearest competitor. Shimmer enjoyed a fantastic season including wins at MJMHA Morgan Showtime, New England Regional, Gold Cup, and three titles at the Morgan Grand National. She won the 12 and 13 Year Old Grand National title, the Junior Challenge Cup and ultimately the Junior World Championship.
Katie Coney had a terrific season herself, showing 12 times to earn eight blue ribbons. Her wins came at Mass Morgan, Vermont Spring, and Connecticut Morgan.
Caroline Gaker ended up in third with 119 points earned in only six performances. The 11 and Under Equitation Grand National Champion also won classes at Gold Cup and Buckeye to earn the third place position.
Fourth goes to Taylor Sams, the Reserve World Champion in Junior Saddle Seat Equitation. She also earned a reserve in the Junior Challenge Cup and in her 12 and 13 year old qualifier among other titles.
Rachel Keidan picked up two wins at Michigan and third and fifth places at Oklahoma to earn 92 points and the fifth place finish.
Rounding out the top ten are Nicholetta Burroughs, Laura McGee, Rachel Miller, Maxine Kenny, Abby Raucher, and Katherine Alderman.
Equitation Walk and Trot
There was a tie in the Equitation Walk and Trot division - so we have two High Point Report Champions - Taylor Pixlee and Caitlin Howard.
Taylor Pixlee earned her 126 points with one win at Far West, three reserves, and two thirds including one at Oklahoma in the Hunt Seat discipline.
Caitlin Howard picked up wins at Tampa Charity, Jubilee, Southern States, and New England Regional to earn her winning points total of 126.
Olivia Lahr was only one point behind with 125 points to finish as the reserve High Point Report champion. Wins at Kentucky State Fair, Indiana Morgan, Jubilee and Indianapolis highlighted their season.
Miller Young Fina earned wins in western and hunt disciplines at Connecticut, UPHA Chapter 14, Mass Morgan, Vermont, and New England Regional to cap off their fantastic season.
Devon Delay earned six blue ribbons in eight performances including the 10-11 Grand National Finals in Saddle Seat Equitation to finish with 117 points in fourth place.
Fifth place goes to Katie Wallace with 115 points earned at Wheat State and Grand National.
Rounding out the top ten are Sara Heidenreich, Anna McLallin, Samantha Burroughs, Emma Ziemer, and Devin Russo.
Classic Saddle Seat Equitation
Musette Re Kyranos ran away with the Classic Equitation High Point Report Championship. She earned 130 points, 35 more than her nearest competitor, in seven performances. The World Championship and Grand National Championship highlighted the season, but she also picked up wins at Vermont, New England and Connecticut to finish with a perfect seven for seven season!
Danielle Palermo was the reserve world champion and won classes at Indiana Morgan and Gold Cup to finish with 95 points as the reserve High Point Report Champion.
Leigh Fitzgerald earned 69 points and a third place finish with a win at Mass Morgan along with second and third place finishes in Oklahoma.
Meghan Bradley finished in fourth with 64 points earned with wins at Vermont and UPHA 14 and reserves at New England and Connecticut.
Fifth place goes to Brooke Yule who earned 62 points with a win at Morgan Medallion and third and fifth place performances in Oklahoma.
Rounding out the top ten are Rebecca Watters, Kate Foy, Tricia Morrison, Channing Ligas and Brynne Cummings.
Hunt Seat Equitation
Lauren Cook dominated the hunt seat High Point Report besting the field by 40 points. The reserve world champion and Grand National champion also picked up wins at Indiana Morgan, Kentucky State Fair, Jubilee, Gold Cup and Indianapolis to earn her 231 points!
Kara Brooke Hose found her way into the High Point Report a second time with 191 points in hunt seat equitation. Wins at Old Dominion led to a Grand National championship for the talented and versatile young woman.
Rachel Miller, riding from the 11 and under division, finished in third with 168 points. The highlight of her season was a win at the New England Regional.
Stevie Meder won classes at Mass Morgan, Maine Morgan and Vermont to earn 158 points and a fourth place finish in the standings.
Kali Erin Hutchinson won three classes at Jubilee and the 14 and 15 Year Old Hunt Seat on the Flat Equitation Grand National title to earn her fifth place finish in the High Point Report.
The other outstanding hunt seat riders in 2004 include Ashley Wright, Kati Anderson, Lynzee Arnold, Anna Weeks and Lauren Gorfinkle.
Western Seat Equitation
Kati Anderson bested the field of western seat equitation riders earning 198 points in 10 performances to be named High Point Report Champion. Winner of the 16 and 17 Year Old Grand National title as well as the AMHA Western Seat Gold Medal Finals at Oklahoma, this talented young woman also won classes at Morgan Medallion and Wheat State Regional to earn this prestigious award.
Kali Erin Hutchinson was top ten in both Hunt and Western equitation earning 185 points to be named Reserve Western Seat Equitation High Point Report Champion. Hutchinson won classes at MJMHA Morgan Showtime, Jubilee, and Gold Cup before coming to Oklahoma to win the 14 and 15 year old Western Seat Equitation Grand National title.
Logan Mather was reserve in the Western Gold Medal Finals as well as winning classes at Morgan Medallion and Circle J Regional to earn 182 points and the third place finish.
Fourth place goes to another versatile young rider, Alyssa Rumsey. She earned her 157 points with wins at Indiana Morgan, MJMHA Morgan Showtime, Indiana Morgan, Gold Cup and Oklahoma.
Kimberly Forster finish in fifth with 133 points. Highlights of her season include wins at Key Classic, Pacific Northwerst, Far West and of course, the Western Seat Junior Equitation World Championship!
The remaining top ten western seat equitation High Point report champions are Jessica Geissinger, Ellen McQuade, Cassandra Vujtech, Jenna Britt and Meagan Drew.
In Hand Stallion
Another tie in the High Point Report gives us two Champions!
LPS The Boogie Man and Pinecreek’s Noble Vision each earned 150 points to top the In Hand Stallion division. LPS The Boogie Man was the World Champion Stallion and World Champion Senior Stallion, and Four-Year-Old Stallion Grand National Champion. Add to this, 60 points for three wins at New England and you have a winning point total for owner Nancy Ramsey and trainer David Rand.
PineCreek’s Noble Vision was the 2004 Three-Year-Old Stallion Grand National Champion, and also showed to all victories at Gold Cup and Jubilee. It was a total of seven blue ribbons in seven performances for the champion owned by Michael and Mary Penn and trained by Steven DeBolt.
Bob Kellert pressed the champions hard with TRE Master of Disguise who earned 148 points, only two behind our champions, in six performances to be our reserve High Point Report Champion. Debra Hurst Walters owns the World Champion Junior Stallion who also won the Two-Year-Old Stallion World Championship and Futurity title. One reserve at New England was all that stood between them and a perfect season. Perennial favorite Born To Boogie showed six times to earn 144 points and a third place finish in the points race. Lynn Peeples directed this outstanding stallion to the Reserve World Champion Stallion and Reserve World Champion Senior Stallion titles at Oklahoma. This showy team also claimed wins at New York Morgan Regional for the Honeytree Farm.
Bob Kellert had another outstanding young in hand stallion in AMHF Absolut Grandeur, an entry owned by David and Cindy Vogels. The Reserve Three-Year-Old Stallion Grand National Champion picked up wins at Circle J and reserves at New England to earn 123 points and a fourth place finish in the points.
Mona Bonham’s Bonnie Lee Future Flair finished in fifth place with 120 points earned in seven performances. Highlights include the Reserve Junior World Champion Stallion title and a reserve Grand National title as well as wins at Jubilee and Kandi Klassic. Rounding out the top Morgan stallions are UVM Jubilant, Triflik Protocol, GMH Gladiator, Mantic Excalibur, and Boxford Bravura.
In Hand Gelding
Dragonsmeade Carnegie Hall had a decisive win in the gelding competition by sweeping the Grand National competition. The three-year-old gelding champion, senior gelding champion and World Champion Gelding was directed by Tim Roesink for Kourt Jester Morgans. Robert Hughes qualified Dragonsmeade Carnegie Hall earlier in the season with three wins at Far West. In all they earned 150 points in 6 performances to lead the pack by 20 points.
CBMF Mozambique is our reserve High Point Report champion. The World Champion Junior Gelding also won the two-year-old gelding competition and the two-year-old gelding world champion futurity title. Rodney Hicks and Harry Sebring directed the smart youngster to these titles and to two wins at New England.
Ultra’s Proclamation and David Rand swept the in hand competition at New England Regional and was the Grand Champion Gelding and Senior Champion Gelding at Granite State. Adriana Liberty owns this talented entry who finished off the season with a top three finish at Oklahoma to earn 124 points and a third place finish in the points.
Dragonsmeade Virtuoso and Judy Whitney Harris finish in fourth place with 117 points. Highlights of their season include three wins each at Jubilee and Indiana Morgan followed up with a reserve Grand National title for the Dragonsmeade Farm.
Fifth place in the points goes to CCR’s Zirconia and Bert Earehart. Tim Roesink directed at Michigan All Morgan to two wins, and Bert Earehart took over the season to earn a win and two reserves at Jubilee and a reserve Grand National title for owners Gary, Nina and Lindsay Errington.
The other outstanding geldings in the top ten are Arboria Gold Coast and Tom Johnson, AMHF June’s Star and Bob Kellert, RMW Airborne and Rick Peterson, Meet Joe Black and Rodney Hicks, Mtn Run Saint Christofer and Dan Pavan, Stonecroft Intuition and Rick Stevens, and HVK March Flaire and Sammi Hazen.
In Hand Mare
Bell’s Masterpiece and Lynn Peeples scored a decisive win in the In Hand Mare division of the High Point Report. Nine impressive performances netted 174 points with a record of seven wins and two reserves for owners Tom and Stephanie Connor. The talented mare captured all the in hand titles at Connecticut Morgan and New England Regional for former owners Alex and Deborah Cojocar before going on to win the Three-Year-Old Mare Grand National title and finishing as the Reserve Senior Mare World Champion and Reserve Mare World Champion.
Long Acres Broadway and Kurt Hufferd also enjoyed a terrific season showing six times to six wins including the World Champion Mare and World Champion Senior Mare titles for the Indian Creek Farms. In addition to three wins at Oklahoma, this talented team also earned three wins at Jubilee.
The popular youngster Soul Sister claimed the third place finish with 134 points in seven performances including wins from Circle J and Morgan Medallion as well as a top five finish in Oklahoma. Rick and Karen Shepard own this classy young mare.
Mary Brannon directed Jacqui O to four blue ribbons and two reserve in 2004 to earn 125 points and a fifth place finish in the standings. Lyn Talmadge owns the Reserve Three-Year-Old Mare Grand National Champion.
Fifth place goes to WWW Virtual Reality and Mark Wahl. The Two-Year-Old Mare Futurity World Champions also claimed two wins and a reserve at New England. Dale Nielson owns this talented filly.
The remaining top ten mares include Tracemark Touch of Gold and Bill Grundmeyer, Cabot First Confession and Mark Wahl, Flairetation and Forest Nealon, QVM Jestine and Tracy Kamcheff, UVM Integrity and Steve Davis, and Ultra’s Spirit of Play and Stephen Smith.
Roadster to Bike
The 2004 World Champion Roadster to Bike also sped away with the High Point Report. JW Romantic Ways is owned and shown by Frank Gibbard and they enjoyed a near perfect season in 2004 with seven wins out of nine performances to earn 166 points. Their wins came at Mass Morgan, Granite State, and of course three at Oklahoma including the world title with Jeff White on the lines.
The next entry crossing the finish line was Primary Investment GP, directed by Tim Roesink (with a little help from Bill Silber). Our Reserve High Point Report Champino earned 157 points in 8 performances including wins at Southern States and Jubilee as well as a Grand National title.
Third place goes to Arboria Perfection who was directed to wins and reserves across the country by Dan Williams and Darwin Olson. They picked up wins at Delmarva, Mid A and Southern States and finished with two thirds and a fourth at Oklahoma. In all it was 155 points, just 11 behind the champion to finish in third.
Arboria Victorious and Paul Calandra enjoyed a terrific season with wins at New England, Penn Ohio and Mid A. Trainer Lynn Peeples also enjoyed the trip adding a win at New England and reserves at Oklahoma.
Fifth place in the points goes to HVK Stradavarius. Throughout 2004, Stradavarius was shown by Grace Steere, Larry Bolen and Jack Gatewood to earn a total of 144 points in 10 performances. Highlights of the season include wins at Connecticut Morgan, Vermont Spring, and New England Regional.
Rounding out the top ten roadster champions are AFF Narrow Margin and Peggy Alderman, Springmill Premonition and Benjamin Kaufman, Oak Creek Doubletake and Alison Bendele, Black Orchid Live From NY and Percy McDaniel, and Harry Caray and Diane Conrady.
